The Union Cabinet has approved the ₹84,000-crore Samudra Manthan programme to accelerate offshore oil and gas exploration. సముద్ర గర్భంలో చమురు మరియు సహజ వాయువు అన్వేషణను వేగవంతం చేసేందుకు, ₹84,000 కోట్ల విలువైన 'సముద్ర మంథన్' కార్యక్రమానికి కేంద్ర మంత్రివర్గం ఆమోదం తెలిపింది.
